Make the pinger safe first
Disconnect the battery to prevent high power transmissions. Power the ESP32 from USB only while programming. Do not unplug the USB cable until the page reports that flashing is complete.
Choose firmware
Select the tested reference build or provide your own compiled binary.
Arduino application binaries normally use 0x10000 and rely on a compatible bootloader and partition table already being installed. Merged/full-flash binaries use 0x0; the page detects these automatically.
Connect the ESP32
Plug in the PCB's USB cable, then choose its CP2102N serial port. The board enters the ROM bootloader automatically.
Automatic bootloader entry failed?
- Hold the ESP32 BOOT button.
- Press and release EN/RESET.
- Release BOOT, then choose Connect ESP32 again.
This manual sequence is only a fallback. Also close Arduino Serial Monitor or any other program using the same port.
Program the device
The selected flash regions are erased and verified as part of programming.
Programming log and serial monitor
Ready. Connect an ESP32 to begin.
