Aren Leishman is a PhD Researcher and Embedded Systems Developer. With a background in physics and years of industry experience working on everything from consumer electronics through to large enterprise broadcast solutions, he has developed a passion for developing innovative solutions across a broad range of fields. A passionate technical and cave diver, he has taken this expertise and applied it to the needs of rebreather divers and cave explorers, designing rebreather control electronics and radiolocation beacons.
His PhD research focuses on the cardiac impacts of diving, seeking to understand how the unique physiological stresses of diving could contribute to the risk of cardiac events in the sport.
